The country links above will have sub categories for the countries various states, provinces, etc. Global Freezing will become very intuitive with easy to find weather facts for more targeted and specific areas of where people live.

Environmental Information

Global Freezing Dot Com will change the environmental information on the weather pages of the states or provinces to the environment having its own sub category. In other words, if you click on the U.K. link, for 2011 you will see a separate environmental link so you can ascertain that information quickly.

Thorium – The Great Alternative Energy Solution

I have a passion for thorium energy, the great green alternative energy, also known as LFTR – pronounced Lifter. LFTR stands for Liquid Fluoride Thorium Reactor. Thorium is a very low level nuclear energy that is much safer than uranium, much more abundant in the earth’s surface and will save billions of dollars.

This is why India has a billion dollar thorium energy plant and why Russia, China, Japan and hopefully the United States are moving forward in this direction. Much more information on this blog is planned for thorium energy including YouTube videos. A separate category is kept on Global Freezing for Thorium.

Word of Mouth, RSS Feed, SEO, Signs, Twitter, YouTube

Word of Mouth - You can help us spread the GlobalFreezing.com message & THANK YOU!

RSS Feed - You can add the Global Freezing rss feed to get information on the fly

SEO a.k.a. Search Engine Optimization - another one of my passions is SEO. You, Google and the other search engines love good and fresh content. We will endeavor to be more consistent and frequent with our content information in 2011.

Signs – I have a hand written GlobalFreezing.com sign on my front and back windshield. Hopefully, it will be professionally done soon as well as some GlobalFreezing.com bumper stickers. I would love to have a huge sign at the Super Bowl. Signs are great and so easy to do. You say you want to do one? THANKS!

YouTube, Twitter, Hootsuite, Facebook, etc. – Social Marketing is the big thing now and we plan on doing much more of it in 2011, including our own Global Freezing YouTube Videos.

Who are we?
There are many blogs and websites that stay very technical with a lot of stats and global warming analysist. I personally like these sites but also want Global Freezing to be assessible to the average Joe or Judy that wants information and easy to understand commentary.

A lighter side is sometime shown with videos like the recent YouTube video showing the bus that killed a snowman. We laughed in disbelief that the bus driver resigned because of running over Frosty The Snowman. Pretty serious offense in someone’s mind.

In 2010, we also had a YouTube video with a song off of a release entitled “Global Cooling”. The song was professional and a welcome, soothing change from the norm.

On a very serious side, I became mad and utterly disgusted about the BP oil spill. After coming up with a plan DURING THE SPILL-NOT AFTER, and writing an article detailing my plan, the traffic tripled back around May 2010.

By mixing it up we hope you will come back again and again to see what is happening. However, for the most part Global Freezing Dot Com is about the global warming controversy and how cold and hot temperatures will never cease to exist.

Want more proof? How about a snowstorm in sunny Arizona for the end of 2010. And please don’t tell me a snowstorm in Arizona is one of the causes of global warming. Enjoy the video and Happy New Year!

are becoming the norm rather than the exception. China had a huge oil spill in the Yellow Sea a few short weeks ago.The Environmental Damage
being done by oil companies is causing tremendous stress for poor and average working people in an already weakened economy. This issue has really gotten me riled up because it affects people, wildlife and the environment. I love clean water, clean air and appreciate nature with all it has to offer.

It bugs me when someone carelessly throws trash out a window. We recycle, trying to do a small part in helping the environment. But when there is an oil spill it does so much harm in so many areas. And it is often because of greed and neglect. Greed – not wanting to spend the money to be safe, while raking in millions or billions of dollars of profits. Neglect – just a lack of concern for what impact an oil spill can have.

G L O B A L F R E E Z I N G weather conditions coming soon.

The document was specific for the Gulf of Mexico and riddled with deception. BP claimed it had the capability to handle an oil spill of 20 million gallons per day. For one of BP’s response companies their was a link that went to a Japanese language page. BP listed a professor, who was an expert cleaning wildlife of oil, as a main contact in case of a major oil spill. Well, the professor had been deceased for several years. Accurate information was not important.

No wonder an Associated Press analysis described how BP officials were pretty much making it up as they went along. Also in the 582 page document was BP’s ability to have skimmers in the Gulf of Mexico so oil would not end up on the coastal states. Then when the oil spill actually happened they turned down help and CEO, Tony Hayward, again assured everyone oil would not reach the coastal states.

An accurate reading of how much oil was leaking would have allowed Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida to better prepare for a catastrophe. Again, BP self righteously proclaimed they were trying to stop the oil leakage opposed to trying to measure the amount of oil leaking. Finally, after many wasted days, BP was pressured to give an account of how much oil was spilling into the Gulf of Mexico.

BP’s and President Obama’s Delayed Reaction
The delayed reaction of BP and President Obama made a horribly bad catastrophe, horribly worse. Turning away capable help from other countries and oil companies was unwise and foolish. BP even turned down the purchase of containment boom from a company that had over a mile of boom ready to use. People were warned not to take pictures of the oil spill. What were they hiding?

FACTS
Facts were hidden so BP could tell a different story. Just like safety measures were covered up and ignored as actual Deepwater Horizon rig survivors are testifying now.

Enron Can Be Dissolved But BP PLC Can Not?

Enron committed illegal financial activity which employees were not privy to at all. So innocent people lost their jobs because of Enron’s deceptive practices and most of the public rejoiced at Enron’s demise. Besides their jobs, many Enron employees lost their entire life savings in worthless stock. Yet the same individuals who are critical of those who want BP dissolved were all for Enron’s collapse.

There are hard working innocent employees at BP just like there were at Enron. There is a big difference though. Enron destroyed employees livelihoods as well as the hopes of many investors. BP PLC destroyed employees livelihoods, investors in the Gulf States economy, wildlife, the environment of the Gulf States for years to come and eleven oil rig workers lives were lost because of safety violations.

What The Average Citizen Can Do About Protesting For A Clean Environment

I read an interesting opinion in a local newspaper recently. A woman said she was brought up to express here opinions and was doing so by boycotting BP. She had heard the same accusations as others about how people hurt BP employees by boycotting them. Do not blame the concerned citizen who has no other recourse available to make a difference – except by expressing themselves at the pump. Blame the deceptive oil company like you did when Enron went bust.

Is This Saying You Should Boycott BP?

That is for you to decide. But understand, Enron and Kenneth Lay did less collateral damage than BP and Tony Hayward but didn’t get a break, and rightly so. Many will say but Enron broke the law. Oh, making up a document and submitting it to Federal Regulators so you can drill deep into the Gulf of Mexico, without the safety precautions you claim to have is not breaking the law. Pretending to have a BOP (Blow Out Preventor) properly functioning is ok when a non functional one can cause death and destruction.

Remember, it is the fault of the one who caused the catastrophe – not the people who are trying to prevent another one by boycotting BP. An environmental plan could have prevented a whole lot of misery.

Besides 11 people losing their lives and an evironmental catastrophy of epic proportions, the lack of tourism will further impact the gulf states.

I went to Michigan to see my mom for mothers day and it was very cold for this time of year. It was in the forties and fifties. I missed some beautiful eighty degree weather by a week or two. One thing I love about Michigan is the Great Lakes. My brother has property just a few hundred yards from Lake Superior. It would sicken me to think of any of the Great Lakes having an oil spill or leakage like the one in the Gulf of Mexico now.

Some things just stay with you. I’ll always be a Wolverine and part of my state heritage is the beautiful Great Lakes. It must be the same for those along the Gulf States. Imagine 200,000 or more gallons of oil leaking per day – and 3 companies blaming each other instead of taking responsibility.

Will we trust them again? I think NOT!
