Oil Rig Workers
Some of the surviving oil rig workers have recently testified that the alarm system was muted, therefore not working, at the time of the awful explosion. Even if muting alarm systems is a common practice on oil rigs it doesn’t justify the fact there was no warning. You have to weigh out the consequences of what the worse case scenario would be if the alarm system was needed at the time it was shut off.BP’s oil rig workers were also led to believe safety procedures were in place.
But – common sense is not so common.
