BP Wants Gulf Coast And All Americans To Think Bacteria Ate The Oil

Half the earth in an ice cube depicting global freezing and global warming

BP Loves Bacteria Eating Oil

BP and the U.S. Government
want Americans, especially Gulf Coast residents, to believe the oil has been eaten by bacteria. Actually, their right to a certain extent. The problem is that scientists have also located gigantic plumes of oil. This video is from May but if you read the scrolling part toward the end – it is very informative.
I like being informed because it serves as a buffer to all the crap that’s being told so responsible parties can minimize their involvement. The source of the info we get is vitally important too. Kind of like global warming. Who or what do you believe? This summer has been very hot but how much, if any, of it is from global warming? Many have short memories. Just a few months ago it was so cold, not just in America but much of Europe and parts of Asia, that people froze to death. Record cold and snow records prevailed just like record hot temperatures do now.

Thank GOD

that the bacteria is eating much of the oil. However, there is absolutely no way to tell how much oil is still causing tremendous damage to ocean life at the bottom of the ocean floor. Alaska is still suffering from the Exxon Valdez disaster more than 20 years later.

Millions of gallons of oil just does not all disappear, bacteria or no bacteria.

Scientists are finding oil plumes. I just hope when we eat fish, whether it’s tuna in a can, from a grocery store or at a restaurant it isn’t tainted with oil from the Gulf Coast – courtesy of BP.

Oil In Gulf Of Mexico Has Dissipated And Lurked In The Ocean Depths

Oil in the Gulf of Mexico has dissipated somewhat but has also been spread through the vast ocean depths. It is impossible to know how much oil went where. Only an educated guess is possible. The Government is coming up with its own findings which I take with a grain of salt.Scientific Studies From Experts On The Oil Spill

are more believable in general to me. How about you? You see, I’m a very independent thinker and only concerned about the truth. It is amazing how many people go to such extreme measures to defend an agenda that falls under their political lines. And say such goofy things in the process.

I’m an independent conservative but absolutely do not agree with Saun Hannity that BP was there from day one. Also, President George W Bush, waived the Jones Act during Hurricane Katrina to get vital help for victims during a disaster. President Obama refused to suspend the Jones Act and now the American people, wildlife and the environment are paying an awful price. And BP – what a disaster.

Get the facts on the oil spill along with BP’s and President Obama’s reactions and undecisiveness. Look up the Jones Act. Dig, dig, dig until you know what is really happening – or at least to the best of our ability.

Big Oil, Big Money, Big Greed. Pretty soon I’ll get back on the global freezing and global warming speak, as long as there are no more oil spill disasters.

BP’s Help For The Environment & Gulf Coast States Residents Claims Sorely Lacking

BP’s promised help for Gulf Coast residents has been delayed for many – just like their delay tactics for the environment. Approximately 39,000 claims are yet to be dealt with. Many of the people who filed these claims can not wait for BP to come through with their promises. Most are not rich like the oil executives and have bills to pay. The Mississippi Attorney General
said BP wasn’t denying the claims just holding them open forever. BP playing games again with people’s lives. And Dudley, the new BP CEO, is showing little if any improvement over Tony Hayward.

They acted quickly spending millions of dollars on public relations including television commercials to try and get the public back on their side. However, when it comes to acting quickly for the Gulf Coast residents and the environment BP is wanting, badly.

You can fool some of the people some of the time – but not all the people all of the time.

BP and Other Big Profit Oil Companies Ignore Environment When It Comes To Profits

Half the earth in an ice cube showing global warming and global freezing

BP and other Big Profit Oil Companies Ignore Environment for Profits

BP and other oil companies cast aside the environment when it comes down to their profits. You say this is too harsh? Consider the over twenty thousand oil wells that have been left to rot or leak in pristine waters. Many other oil companies have been doing this for years besides BP.BP and other oil companies say “What can I get away with?”

People say we need more regulations and I agree. But this is only part of the solution. If the Federal Government does not enforce those regulations, their not worth the paper their written on. We had regulations but the filthy rich oil companies somehow convince or pay off regulators.

Sure some environmental safeguards are put into place, but they are miniscule when it comes down to the overall picture. How many oi companies are cleaning up old oil wells on their own?

Close to zero. It cost money.

It matters not that BP and other oil companies make billions of dollars, they greedily want more so ignore the regulations. Even if it is taking a huge gamble on destroying the environment, wildlife and people’s livelihoods. To watch President Obama and BP turn away help until the damage was done – well what words are there for that?

And a lot of the turning down was because of money. What is pitiful is that the environmental cleanup cost much more than what it would have if help was accepted initially. So trying to save money backfired. BP – BIG PROFITS. See my oil spill plan.

BP Managing Director Bob Dudley & Michigan Oil Spill in Kalamazoo River

Half the earth in a ice cube showing global freezing and global warming

BP Managing Director Bob Dudley & Kalamazoo River Oil Spill in Michigan

BP Managing Director Bob Dudley will take over Tony Hayward’s job as CEO. In May Bob Dudley said he thought it was an exaggeration and fear mongering when correct reports were coming out about the oil spill being greater than 5000 barrels a day.

Bob Dudley Bad Choice For BP CEO

Bob Dudley, as seen in this video, believes BP could handle a bigger oil spill than the one from the Horizon Deepwater rig explosion.

Unbelievable!

Does BP need another pretender as CEO? I’m sick of it all. Now there’s an oil spill in the Kalamazoo River in Michigan. About 19,500 barrels of oil leaking into a river is a huge amount. Old pipes which broke is apparently the cause. There are old oil and gas pipes all across the United States. America needs a huge facelift of repaired and new infrastructure. And please do not put someone like BP’s Tony Hayward or Bob Dudley in charge of it.

Is BP and Tony Hayward as guilty as Enron and Kenneth Lay?

Half the Earth in an Ice Cube exemplifying Global Freezing & Global Warming

Did BP and Tony Hayward Do Less Damage Than Enron and Kenneth Lay

BP Filed a 582 Page Report to Federal Regulators

with plans on how BP would react to a major oil spill. The document was specific for the Gulf of Mexico and riddled with deception. BP claimed it had the capability to handle an oil spill of 20 million gallons per day. For one of BP’s response companies their was a link that went to a Japanese language page. BP listed a professor, who was an expert cleaning wildlife of oil, as a main contact in case of a major oil spill. Well, the professor had been deceased for several years. Accurate information was not important.

No wonder an Associated Press analysis described how BP officials were pretty much making it up as they went along. Also in the 582 page document was BP’s ability to have skimmers in the Gulf of Mexico so oil would not end up on the coastal states. Then when the oil spill actually happened they turned down help and CEO, Tony Hayward, again assured everyone oil would not reach the coastal states.

An accurate reading of how much oil was leaking would have allowed Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida to better prepare for a catastrophe. Again, BP self righteously proclaimed they were trying to stop the oil leakage opposed to trying to measure the amount of oil leaking. Finally, after many wasted days, BP was pressured to give an account of how much oil was spilling into the Gulf of Mexico.

BP’s and President Obama’s Delayed Reaction

The delayed reaction of BP and President Obama made a horribly bad catastrophe, horribly worse. Turning away capable help from other countries and oil companies was unwise and foolish. BP even turned down the purchase of containment boom from a company that had over a mile of boom ready to use. People were warned not to take pictures of the oil spill. What were they hiding?

FACTS
Facts were hidden so BP could tell a different story. Just like safety measures were covered up and ignored as actual Deepwater Horizon rig survivors are testifying now.

Enron Can Be Dissolved But BP PLC Can Not?

Enron committed illegal financial activity which employees were not privy to at all. So innocent people lost their jobs because of Enron’s deceptive practices and most of the public rejoiced at Enron’s demise. Besides their jobs, many Enron employees lost their entire life savings in worthless stock. Yet the same individuals who are critical of those who want BP dissolved were all for Enron’s collapse.

There are hard working innocent employees at BP just like there were at Enron. There is a big difference though. Enron destroyed employees livelihoods as well as the hopes of many investors. BP PLC destroyed employees livelihoods, investors in the Gulf States economy, wildlife, the environment of the Gulf States for years to come and eleven oil rig workers lives were lost because of safety violations.

What The Average Citizen Can Do About Protesting For A Clean Environment

I read an interesting opinion in a local newspaper recently. A woman said she was brought up to express here opinions and was doing so by boycotting BP. She had heard the same accusations as others about how people hurt BP employees by boycotting them. Do not blame the concerned citizen who has no other recourse available to make a difference – except by expressing themselves at the pump. Blame the deceptive oil company like you did when Enron went bust.

Is This Saying You Should Boycott BP?

That is for you to decide. But understand, Enron and Kenneth Lay did less collateral damage than BP and Tony Hayward but didn’t get a break, and rightly so. Many will say but Enron broke the law. Oh, making up a document and submitting it to Federal Regulators so you can drill deep into the Gulf of Mexico, without the safety precautions you claim to have is not breaking the law. Pretending to have a BOP (Blow Out Preventor) properly functioning is ok when a non functional one can cause death and destruction.

Remember, it is the fault of the one who caused the catastrophe – not the people who are trying to prevent another one by boycotting BP. An environmental plan could have prevented a whole lot of misery.

BP’s Containment Cap May Be Damaging Well Head While Preventing Oil Leakage

half earth in an ice cube showing global freezing and global warming

BP's Containment Cap Holding Steady But May Be Seaping Oil From the Well Head

BP’s Containment Cap

is holding back pressure laden oil from leaking profusely into the Gulf of Mexico. The problem is the containment cap is so heavy it could impact further damage upon the well head.

Retired Coast Guard Admiral Thad Allen

Thad Allen is forcing BP to keep a careful eye on the containment cap for any more damage. This is a good thing. However, the well head could buckle under the containment caps pressure and cause a oil catastrophe even bigger then the one we have now.

What is troubling is that everyone from President Obama to BP to retired Coast Guard Admiral Thad Allen are all aware of this and sometimes have differing views on how to handle the situation. This does not give confidence to Gulf Coast residents nor the rest of the world. Comments on a second leak close by later. What more?

BP Containment Cap Fits-Pressure Readings From Oil Force Must Comply

Half of earth in ice cube showing global freezing and global warming

BP Containment Cap Successfully Covers Oil Leak-Pressure Must Stabilize

BP has successfully lowered the containment cap over the gushing oil leak. However, pressure from the oil being a mile under water is enormous.

BP and the world is hoping the valves work properly. The next 24 to 48 hours are crucial in determining the success of the containment cap.

Over 27,000 Gas and Oil Wells Abandoned in the Gulf of Mexico

Half the earth in an ice cube thereby showing global cooling and global warming is natural

Oil Companies Abandon Over 27,000 Gas and Oil Wells

Oil companies have abandoned over 27,000 gas and oil wells in the Gulf of Mexico according to a recent study. Shocking. As if the news wasn’t bad enough already. To make matters worse, the Federal Government warned the greedy oil companies about the danger of abandoned wells leaking but it didn’t matter. The warnings were ignored and the Fed did not care enough to regulate the oil companies behavior.

Oil Wells Abandoned in the Gulf of Mexico

This number would be horrible if it included all the waters in the world. But more than 27,000 in just the Gulf of Mexico alone? Out of the more than 27,000 wells, over 1,000 have been left to rot or are unfinished for over 10 years. The news gets worse again. Some of the 1,000 are from the 1940’s, 1950’s and 1960’s.

Gulf of Mexico Has Untold Number Of Leaking Oil Wells

So, BP is not the only bad boy. I’ll never forget a recent interview Saun Hannity had with the CEO of Shell Oil Company. The Shell Oil CEO actually said critically that because people did not want to see oil rigs off the shores ruining their “pristine view”, it forced the oil companies to go farther out to drill which made it more of a risk. You see, it’s our fault.

My wife and I love Destin, Florida and because we don’t want to see oil rigs from the beautiful beaches -that’s why we have environmental, wildlife and people destroying damage. Disgusting. And good old Saun didn’t disagree with him. He was quite accomodating to big Shell Oil just like he is to BP PLC, saying they have been there from day one.

Isn’t it sad that unless the money hungry oil companies are made to behave they will not. Even if it is for the good of mankind, the environment and wildlife. Why? Greed. They can make billions and billions of dollars but don’t want to spend a small portion of their profits for the safety of mankind and the environment.

Maybe it is time we abandon the oil companies like they abandoned the gas and oil wells.

My oil spill plan compared to President Obama’s actual response.

President Obama Not Cause Of Oil Spill-Obama Is Cause Of Weak Federal Response Resulting In Environmental Catastrophe

Half the earth in a global freezing ice cube

President Obama Not Cause Of Oil Spill-Cause of Weak Response

President Obama received immediate criticism concerning the oil spill from many trying to politicise the oil spill catastrophe. I was not one of them. Though caused be BP PLC, this criticism came for the most part from various Republicans. It sickened me to see a lengthy report on the oil spill where BP was not even in question about its responsibility. A matter of fact the TV talk host defended BP saying, “BP has been there from day one.”

BP Continued Coverup

Sure from day one, BP has covered up the true magnitude of the oil spill thereby denying Gulf Coast States the chance to fend off an environmental catastrophe. That’s right. Because if the truth of the magnitude was known definitive action plans could have been implemented much sooner.

That being said, once it was apparent BP was inept at handling the oil spill President Obama had the responsibility to do everything in his power to stop the oil from reaching the Gulf States shorelines. It was obvious within hours of the Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion that drastic measures had to be taken.

BP was putting a spin on the evolving environmental catastrophe from day one and still after 50 days continues to deceive the world. President Obama should have recognized this instead of over analyzing his options. As an over analyzer President Obama is hurting Americans, endangering our national security and allowing an environmental catastrophe unprecedented in U.S. history. This idea on YouTube is from someone else and looks very good.

I have a plan, most of which came within days of the Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion. If I was President this plan would have been implemented with immediate action as to prevent most of the oil from reaching our beautiful shores, marshes and wetlands.

One of my favorite sayings is talk is cheap. So here is my plan along with President Obama’s response. Keep in mind my plan was in foresight anticipating the impending disaster if action was not taken IMMEDIATELY.

1. My Response: Immediately call leaders and other oil companies from around the world to get oil skimmers and tankers that hold vast amounts of oil into the Gulf of Mexico ASAP.
President Obama’s Response: Turn down 15 of 17 countries who offered help that would have captured oil BEFORE it reached the Gulf Coast.

2. My Response: Talk with other leading oil companies to get their ideas and advice and find out who has the best technologies in the world to deal with a problem of this magnitude. No one company holds all the best technology in any field of business. I would not put all of our nations hope or eggs in one basket (BP), concerning a crisis of this magnitude.
President Obama’s Response: Depends on BP to solve the whole problem specifically stating he was in charge but BP had the technology to fix the problem.

3. My Response: First Line of Defense – My main priority would be to capture oil at the point it rises to the Gulf waters surface. Every available tanker and skimmer would be put into service from countries around the world. Even knowing the tankers and skimmers could take many days to reach the Gulf of Mexico, this is all the more reason to get them leaving for their destination IMMEDIATELY. Also, BP would be forced to put into action their Emergency Response Plan for the Gulf of Mexico submitted to Federal Regulators in 2008. I would not allow BP to just say they did, they would be monitored. Especially since the 2008 plan claimed BP could handle an oil spill of several million gallons per day.
President Obama’s Reponse: Still saying BP has the best technology to handle the spill. Has limited number of tankers and skimmers available with many boats ill equipped to handle an oil spill.

4. My Resonse: Second Line of Defense – I would designate an “Environmental Response Team” to organize the Coast Guard, National Guard and other services to set up a second line of defense. This second line would be a massive amount of boats and ships including skimmers that would be positioned behind the first line of defense. Boats and ships without skimming equipment would be equiped with other means of collecting or soaking up the oil. Giant hair balls, heavy nets, floating oil captures, anything that would collect oil BEFORE it reached our pristine coastlines would be put into play.
President Obama’s Response: “I want you to know that the oil spill is on my mind from the time I wake up to the time I go to bed” – not stating any significant plan of action.

5. My Response: Third Line of Defense – 500,000 U.S. citizens would be hired at $22.00 per hour, with first approximately 250,000 coming from the Gulf States. This would provide immediate income to those who are trying to save their livelyhoods from any impending disaster. Also, this large amount of hired help will be needed to build and place oil filtering and sand filtering devices at a fast pace.
President Obama’s Response: May 27, 2010 “If they ( The Army Corps of Engineers) have a disagreement with Governor Jindal’s experts as to whether this would be effective or COST EFFECTIVE, given the other things that need to be done, then we will sit down and try to figure that out.

6. My Response: Meeting and talking with all the Governors of all the Gulf States to see what they need IN ADDITION to my timely response. Many of these needs would have already been met such as Louisiana Governor Jindal’s request for the permits to build the sandbooms.
President Obama’s Response: Governor Jindal and other leaders request BEFORE the oil reached their shores, marshes and wetlands were delayed or denied. This resulted in catastrophic economical and environmental damage.

7. My Response: Re-evaluate the placement of the 500,000 workers that were hired during the past month, starting May 1, 2010. With this many oil stoppers positioned at wetlands, marshes and our shorelines very little oil would make it to the coastlines. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? YES, when you consider the alternative it is some of the best money ever spent on our great nation.
President Obama’s Response: May 28, 2010 – Four weeks later Obama said he would triple the manpower when oil HAS (already) come to shore or looks like it will within the next 24 hours. Too little – too late. May 29, 2010 Obama says 20,000 people have already been deployed to contain and clean up the spill. Too little – too late again.

8. My Response: Personal meetings 4-8 hours per day, 5 days a week as time and duties permit, with inventors, engineers and other intellectuals in and out of the oil industry. Many workable plans will be put into place. I absolutely would not depend on one company, especially one that mislead me and the American people as to the vast amount of the oil leakage and lied as to having the capability to readily stop the leakage. BP will continue to try and stop the leak but I will not stop at trying every viable solution available – including Kevin Costner and his brothers idea.
President Obama’s Response: Also says he will look at ideas from any source but either takes to long while over analyzing if their effective or COST EFFECTIVE or goes on vacation-golfing while people’s livelihoods and the environment are being destroyed.

Please respond with your comment but remember no foul language.
