BP Alarm System Shut Off Disregarding Safety Of Deepwater Horizon Oil Rig Workers
BP's Alarm System Put On Mute On Deepwater Horizon Oil Rig
BP had an alarm system that could have saved the lives of those killed in the Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion. The alarm was muted or shut off because it often went off when there was no emergency. So, instead of fixing the alarm system we hear yet another one of BP’s lame brain excuses. The safety of the oil rig workers was not as important as the big bucks.
Oil Rig Workers
Some of the surviving oil rig workers have recently testified that the alarm system was muted, therefore not working, at the time of the awful explosion. Even if muting alarm systems is a common practice on oil rigs it doesn’t justify the fact there was no warning. You have to weigh out the consequences of what the worse case scenario would be if the alarm system was needed at the time it was shut off.
BP’s oil rig workers were also led to believe safety procedures were in place.

Oil Spill Disasters are becoming the norm rather than the exception. China had a huge oil spill in the Yellow Sea a few short weeks ago.The Environmental Damage being done by oil companies is causing tremendous stress for poor and average working people in an already weakened economy. This issue has really gotten me riled up because [...] […]
BP and the U.S. Government want Americans, especially Gulf Coast residents, to believe the oil has been eaten by bacteria. Actually, their right to a certain extent. The problem is that scientists have also located gigantic plumes of oil. This video is from May but if you read the scrolling part toward the end – [...] […]
Oil in the Gulf of Mexico has dissipated somewhat but has also been spread through the vast ocean depths. It is impossible to know how much oil went where. Only an educated guess is possible. The Government is coming up with its own findings which I take with a grain of salt.Scientific Studies From Experts [...] […]
BP’s promised help for Gulf Coast residents has been delayed for many – just like their delay tactics for the environment. Approximately 39,000 claims are yet to be dealt with. Many of the people who filed these claims can not wait for BP to come through with their promises. Most are not rich like the [...] […]
Whether you believe in global warming, global cooling or global freezing sit back and enjoy this music. BP finally stopped the oil spill and I’m sick of all the bad news. Besides, it’s my anniversary so let’s skip the regular post, comments or whatever. It has been sweltering hot here in Tennessee. Today it was [...] […]
BP and other oil companies cast aside the environment when it comes down to their profits. You say this is too harsh? Consider the over twenty thousand oil wells that have been left to rot or leak in pristine waters. Many other oil companies have been doing this for years besides BP.BP and other oil [...] […]
BP Managing Director Bob Dudley will take over Tony Hayward’s job as CEO. In May Bob Dudley said he thought it was an exaggeration and fear mongering when correct reports were coming out about the oil spill being greater than 5000 barrels a day.Bob Dudley Bad Choice For BP CEOBob Dudley, as seen in this [...] […]
BP Filed a 582 Page Report to Federal Regulators with plans on how BP would react to a major oil spill. The document was specific for the Gulf of Mexico and riddled with deception. BP claimed it had the capability to handle an oil spill of 20 million gallons per day. For one of BP’s [...] […]
