Thad Allen is forcing BP to keep a careful eye on the containment cap for any more damage. This is a good thing. However, the well head could buckle under the containment caps pressure and cause a oil catastrophe even bigger then the one we have now.What is troubling is that everyone from President Obama to BP to retired Coast Guard Admiral Thad Allen are all aware of this and sometimes have differing views on how to handle the situation.
